About NIMFF

What happens when cinema meets live music, wine country, and a little Niagara magic?

Welcome to the place where films sing, music tells stories, and audiences accidentally fall in love with both.

The Niagara International Music Film Festival is not just a film festival. It's a cinematic mixtape poured into a wine glass and projected onto a giant screen.

Every September, we invite filmmakers, musicians, dreamers, wine lovers, soundtrack obsessives, and curious wanderers to gather in Niagara — where vineyards become venues, conversations become collaborations, and the line between audience and artist quietly disappears.

We celebrate films that move, music that lingers, and stories that refuse to stay inside the frame.

Some festivals roll out a red carpet. We prefer vineyard paths, live music under the stars, and maybe a glass of Niagara wine in your hand while the credits roll.

Mission

To bring music and cinema together in ways that make people feel more alive.

The mission of NIMFF is to create unforgettable experiences through music-driven storytelling, cinematic artistry, and cultural connection — while supporting bold, independent voices from Canada and around the world.

Also, we believe wine tastes better after a standing ovation.

Vision

We imagine Niagara overflowing with soundtracks, stories, applause, late-night conversations, clinking glasses, and audiences wandering from screenings to wineries wondering:

"Wait… was that part of the festival or part of the movie?"

Good question.

NIMFF envisions a future where music films are not a niche — they are a celebration.

Values

Who do we like to hang with?

We welcome filmmakers, musicians, audiences, industry professionals, accidental tourists, passionate artists, and anyone who has ever heard a song in a film and immediately searched for it afterward.

If that's you — welcome to Niagara.
